Rishi Kapoor had given this answer to the question "What advice do you want to give to new actors about acting?" In an interview a few days back. "No one becomes an actor just because of his toned body. How do you act first to become a better actor? It has to be learned. It has to be practiced consistently. But now most of the artists are seen working hard in big gyms just to gain a toned body. If they spend some time in the gym for their acting, they can make history. He will be named among the best artists not only in the country but also in the world. But for that, they need to focus on acting, not bodybuilding. ” Didn't he give such advice to Irrfan Khan? That, look, this is called an actor.

Rishi Kapoor when asked the question "What advice do you want to give to new actors about acting?"in an interview replied stating “No one becomes an actor just because of his toned body. Acting has to be learned. It has to be practiced consistently. But these days most of the actors work hard in gyms to gain a toned body. If they spend some time improving their acting, they can make history. That actor will be named among the best artists not only in our country but also in the world. And for that, they need to focus on acting, not bodybuilding.”

Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan, were actors of unmatched talent and calibre, their death is a real loss for the film industry. It is a real void for the actors of character roles, ones which brought out emotions from deep within, which once the movie was long over still remained in our head, ones which we would keep reminiscing over the years to come.

While the older actors are still playing the role of youngsters, Irrfan played the role of the father of a 20-year-old girl in the film 'English Medium'. Rishi Kapoor was also criticized as a hero during his younger days. But when no hero was ready to work with new heroines, Rishi Kapoor took the risk and gave them a chance. Chandni, Nagin, Heena, Bol Radha Bol, Diwana, Damini are some of the famous examples.

Rishi Kapoor has taken on different roles over the last few years and states that he was fortunate for getting the opportunity to do so.
However, he regretted that he never got a chance to work with different filmmakers like Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Gulzar. A characteristic of Rishi Kapoor is his outspokenness. He recently tweeted that he should start selling alcohol to generate revenue during the lockdown. There were mixed reactions to this. Although he was not active in politics, he never looked back to point out the evils of the society. Despite being the son of a veteran like Raj Kapoor and giving a super duper hit movie like 'Bobby', it was not easy to make a name for himself in Bollywood. It was difficult to succeed as an actor when Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan had magic on the silver screen. Despite being a romantic hero, the sage was able to stand in front of 'Angry Young Man' only because of his strong acting. Neetu Kapoor was instrumental in Rishi Kapoor's journey. And now his son Ranbir Kapoor is carrying on the legacy of his dynasty. After recovering from his illness, he was to make a film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' directed by Rishi Hitesh Bhatia with co-star Juhi Chawla.

Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with leukemia. He was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. After this, Rishi and Neetu immediately left for America where he underwent treatment for about a year and also received a bone marrow transplant. He was admitted to Reliance Foundation Hospital on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He finally breathed his last on April 30, 2020 at 8.45 am. He was accompanied by his wife Neetu Singh and son Ranbir at the last minute.
